"The Greatest Day of My Life" M.A.

Often times when my friends and I make plans they either fall through or do not go the way we planned. This however was not the case when my boy Mikey and I planned a golf day for last Wednesday. The plan was to drive up to my cottage on Tuesday evening. Upon arrival we would wash our golf clubs (being sure to follow our usual ritual of washing), putt and chip in my basement for a while, and then watch the golf channel. Before going to bed we wanted to lay out our wardrobe for the next day (I know already that I am a nerd so keep your comments to yourself). We wanted to be on the course for 8am, this of course after a Tim Horton's coffee (double double) and everything bagel (toasted with herb and garlic cream cheese).
We were playing golf a course we like to call "All you can play"(Whispering Pines) as you pay $20 and you can play as many rounds as you can (this shows the quality of the course). We were planning on playing 36 holes.
Amazingly we woke up at 6:15am and were showered (well, Mike was) and at Tim Horton's by 7:15. We were at the course before it opened and were the first to tee off. We ended up getting in 36 holes and even finished the day off with a huge free meal at the Grandview Golf Club and getting home in time to watch the first Leaf game of the season. Before going to bed Mike hugged me and told me this was the best day of his life.
It is lovely when things work out the way you want them to and to actually do things exactly when I said I would. Now the big question is: Why can't I say the same is true when I have a big paper due and I plan out the perfect schedule to get it done on time? Life is great!
So anyway I wore a pair of Gap kakhi's with a Callaway dryfit mock neck t-shirt and looked like the money. My match play record is now 1-0-0 as I beat Mike during our third nine. I also sunk a very long chip shot for bird.

i am smiling so big right now in class that i have to cover my mouth, i'm serious. there are many parts to this entry that i appreciate but my favorite part thus far is how you talked briefly about writing papers then got right back into what you wore on the course. you did not shy away from anything that made you look like a tool and i respect that immensely. as i continue to read and study this blog i will post further comments. let me just say that this is more than a good start. you have really got the ball rolling on the extent of our day. could have gone deeper regarding the on course play but i take it on as my responsibility to expand on what went on during the 36 holes. stay tuned to mgarmstrong.blogspot.com for details. excellent work, your grade:A+
