the visual experience

Here are a few pictures of my tree planting experience.

This first one is myself in my gear ready to head into the bush to plant. I look great! I tried to match with my light colour cargo's and blue dress shirt.

This pic is of my hands after a day of planting. They pretty much look like this all the time now. I am getting used to it.

After planting for 10 hours this is how I look. The deer flies on this particular day were so bad and seemed to be the size of small birds. It was a bad day. Oh ya and in this picture I am on the Trans-Canada Pipeline.

Although this picture looks like a thick forest already...this is land that I was about to walk into to plant my trees. It sucked as I could barely walk though it let alone plant trees in it. It was also difficult carrying 100 pounds of trees on your side and trying to walk through trees like that...many time I have fallen flat on my face.

Oh ya so these are the bags I had to carry around on my shoulders for those ten hour days. And inside are the trees I was planting. It is a terrible job...I recommend it to nobody.
