the planning meeting
The leaders of ccbc youth met on friday nite at Tim and Jill's new house. It was an interesting meeting that had some creative ideas come out of it. We have each leader in charge of a different key aspect of the group the we discussed and felt was of importance. For each group we have a couple of key youth that we feel would be able to contribute toward that aspect of the group best with what we saw based on their passions and stuff. one of the groups i am most pumped for is the group that Tiffany is leading we called "connections". this group is all about getting people connected and become as much a part of the group as possible. I think this could be a real key to the group growing deeper and having a "different" year than in the past. This group has a lot of potental to make a huge difference. It will be a lot of work though but many things can come of it. There are many different ways that people can get connected and feel a part of something, but putting these into action is another story all together. being accepting is something that is a struggle for most youth no matter what situation they are in. It would be amazing to see this be a group that is the opposite of this. Hopefully this group will bring that to being.I am leading the social project team. I think this is going to be a good way to see what kids really are wanting to live a different sort of life. One that makes a differnce and is made different. I will speak more to this later.
On a more personal note, I am all over the place right now. I live in Cambridge, work in Guelph, have a girlfriend in Toronto, and do the youth thing in Mississauga. I am constantly moving around and really havent had time to even set up my new place. My next few months are pretty much booked solid. I dont really like that very much and need to take it easy. Hopefully thanksgiving will give me that chance. Oh ya, I just bought the collectors edition of the Toronto Blue Jays 1992 and 1993 World Series Victoires. Still brings a tear to my eye and chokes me up.
