Some families celebrate Thanksgiving with turkey, others with pumkin pie, my family celebrates with fire. Up in the north country we had a blaze that could not be matched. Flames shooting up to 20 feet high. A picnic table thrown into the mix, a dresser, and some plastic swans, and a couple two liters to top it all off. Happy Thanksgiving.

stresses of a film maker

So my boss recently referred to me as "Nathan Stephen Speilberg". Enough said. Maybe that will be me someday sitting beside Stephen. So I have been doing a lot of filming and editing at work lately. It has been interesting and challenging. I am really enjoying it though. Tomorrow and Thursday I am spending behind the camera filming some training that is going on at Eagles Flight . I am working on getting some interesting new shots and am going to try to do some work with multiple cameras. Should be good.
So on another note, Tiffany gave me some Mole Skin Notebooks . I am all about it now. It doesn't leave my back pocket. I carry it everywhere and am using more and more frequently.
Tomorrow nite is youth nite #2. Should be interesting. The groups are being unveiled to the high schoolers. This years is going to run on how much the youth themselves want to get out of it. I will fill you in on this later.
I love baseball playoffs. I don't think anything beats watching a Yankee playoff game when it is cool outside. Ok just writing that sentence gave me chills. I am definately going to expand on that.

free gift
I don't really like buying new clothes. I don't know why but I really hate the process. I do not enjoy the trying on, the looking at tons of stuff. I feel like everything I buy does not look the same when I get home or I just feel like I could use my money in a better way. Its weird but whatever. So anyway, one of Tiffany's friends from work just hooked me up with some free shwag. Really nice stuff too. He said he just felt like he had too much stuff and just wanted some to me. Wow. So I think i gotta pass on some of my stuff...if anyone would take it.Congratulations to the Blue Jays for finishing in second place above the Boston Red Sox.

the planning meeting
The leaders of ccbc youth met on friday nite at Tim and Jill's new house. It was an interesting meeting that had some creative ideas come out of it. We have each leader in charge of a different key aspect of the group the we discussed and felt was of importance. For each group we have a couple of key youth that we feel would be able to contribute toward that aspect of the group best with what we saw based on their passions and stuff. one of the groups i am most pumped for is the group that Tiffany is leading we called "connections". this group is all about getting people connected and become as much a part of the group as possible. I think this could be a real key to the group growing deeper and having a "different" year than in the past. This group has a lot of potental to make a huge difference. It will be a lot of work though but many things can come of it. There are many different ways that people can get connected and feel a part of something, but putting these into action is another story all together. being accepting is something that is a struggle for most youth no matter what situation they are in. It would be amazing to see this be a group that is the opposite of this. Hopefully this group will bring that to being.I am leading the social project team. I think this is going to be a good way to see what kids really are wanting to live a different sort of life. One that makes a differnce and is made different. I will speak more to this later.
On a more personal note, I am all over the place right now. I live in Cambridge, work in Guelph, have a girlfriend in Toronto, and do the youth thing in Mississauga. I am constantly moving around and really havent had time to even set up my new place. My next few months are pretty much booked solid. I dont really like that very much and need to take it easy. Hopefully thanksgiving will give me that chance. Oh ya, I just bought the collectors edition of the Toronto Blue Jays 1992 and 1993 World Series Victoires. Still brings a tear to my eye and chokes me up.
